Who we are
Harness is a Canadian-made tool that helps tradespeople reply to quote requests faster, from inside the email they already use. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
What we collect
- What you give us. When you apply for a spot or contact us, we collect your name, trade, email address, phone number (if you provide it), and your rough quote volume.
- Your email content, only if you connect it. If you choose to connect your Gmail, Harness reads quote-related messages so it can draft replies for you. We access only what's needed to do that, and only with your explicit permission through Google's secure sign-in.
- Basic usage information. Like most websites, we may collect standard technical details (such as your browser type and general location) to keep the service working and secure.
How we use it
- To set up your account and get you started.
- To draft replies in your own words and pricing.
- To contact you about your spot, by email or text — you can opt out at any time.
- To improve how Harness works for trades like yours.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, and we don't email or message your contacts. We do rely on a few trusted service providers to run Harness — for example, our email/form provider, our hosting provider, and the AI service that helps generate draft text. These providers only handle your information to provide their service to us, and may process data outside Canada.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide Harness or as required by law. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we're legally required to keep it.
Your choices
- Disconnect anytime. You can revoke Harness's access to your Gmail at any time through your Google account settings.
- Opt out of messages. Tell us to stop emailing or texting you and we will.
- Access or delete your data. Email us and we'll help you see, correct, or delete what we hold.
Google user data
Harness's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use your Gmail data to provide the reply-drafting feature you ask for — never for advertising, and never sold to anyone.
Changes to this policy
We're early, and this policy will get more detailed over time. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know directly.
