Terms of Service

Last updated: July 4, 2026  ·  Beta

Plain-language version: Harness is a free beta. It drafts replies in your words and waits for you to approve before anything is sent. Drafts are machine-generated and can be wrong — you're the one who checks and approves them. Your data stays yours, and you can export or delete it any time.

1. The agreement

These Terms govern your use of Harness — the service at getharness.ca and app.getharness.ca, its email addresses (learn@, hello@, help@ and their French aliases), and anything Harness sends on your behalf. By starting a pilot, forwarding email to a Harness address, or clicking a claim link, you agree to these Terms for the business you represent, and confirm you're allowed to. Harness is a tool for businesses, not a consumer product.

2. What Harness does — and how it stays under your control

Harness reads the business messages you route to it, drafts replies using the prices, hours, and facts you've taught it, and sends them with your approval. Three things matter:

3. This is a free beta

4. Your responsibilities

5. AI output — the plain limits

6. Your data stays yours

Your messages, your customers' details, the facts you teach it, and your traces are your business's data. You give us only the permission we need to run the service on it (receive, store, process with AI models, show it back to you, and send at your direction). You can get a machine-readable export of what we hold and have your data erased — see the Privacy Policy. The Harness software, templates, and brand remain ours.

7. As-is, and the limit on our liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim other warranties, including any promise that drafts will be accurate, that messages will be delivered, or that the service won't be interrupted.

8. Suspension and ending things

You can stop any time — export your data or ask for erasure. We may suspend or close a workspace for a material breach of these Terms, to comply with the law, or to protect the service or other customers, with notice where practical. After closing, we keep only what we must (for example the CASL opt-out list and audit records).

9. Changes to these Terms

We're early, and these Terms will get more detailed over time. If we make a meaningful change we'll update the date above and, where it matters, let you know. Continuing to use Harness after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law & language

These Terms are governed by the laws of {{GOVERNING_PROVINCE}} and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Langue. Harness serves customers in French in Québec. A French version of these Terms is being prepared; if you need to be bound in French, contact us before agreeing and we'll provide it.

Who we are

Harness is operated by {{LEGAL_ENTITY}}, {{MAILING_ADDRESS}}. Questions about these Terms? Email [email protected] and a real person will answer.
